AAUA lecturer kidnapped in Ondo, abductors demand N10m ransom



Mayowa Adinlewa, a lecturer of Adekunle Ajasin College, Akungba-Akoko, AAUA, Ondo State has been kidnapped.

Adinlewa was kidnapped over the weekend alongside the deplorable Akure-Ikere-Ekiti freeway whereas on his approach from Akungba to go to his household at Ikere in Ekiti State.

The gunmen have been stated to have struck on a foul portion of the highway when waylaid and whisked him away to an unknown vacation spot.

The abductors have been stated to have contacted the sufferer’s spouse on Sunday with the lecturer who was allowed to talk along with his spouse heard on the cellphone that he was contained in the bush along with his captives and that that they had trekked for hours with out consuming and consuming.

With the spouse asking for the situation, the lecturer said that his legs have been already burnt as a result of warmth from the lengthy stroll and that his cellphone would quickly be taken from him.


In the meantime, the elder brother of the sufferer, Toyin confirmed that his brother was kidnapped and that N10 million has been demanded as ransom by the abductors

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in Ondo State, Funmilayo Odunlami said that investigation had begun with the anti-kidnapping unit already deployed.

“Initially, we thought it was a case of deserted automobile. It was later that the household contacted the police that their son had been kidnapped. The incident occurred between the boundary of Ondo and Ekiti States.

“Our anti-kidnapping unit has swung into motion in direction of rescuing the sufferer. They’re already combing the bush and the axis the place it occurred.

“I’m not conscious if contact has been made with the household. I don’t know something concerning the demand for ransom.”
