5 dead, 23 rescued, many still trapped after three-storey building collapsed in Ebute Metta
The demise toll within the Ebute Metta constructing collapse has elevated to five, the Nationwide Emergency Administration Company (NEMA) officers say.
The three-storey constructing collapsed on Sunday night time, Might 1, on Ibadan Road, Ebute Meta, Lagos.
The deceased individuals embrace three males and two females.
23 individuals have been rescued so removed from the rubbles and plenty of are nonetheless trapped.
Dauda Alli, one of the survivors, confirmed that the constructing was already distressed earlier than its eventual collapse.
